Bridal and Occasion Makeup and Hair
I am fully qualified in both bridal and occasion makeup and hair, with my own studio in the heart of the Lake District being the perfect location for personalised trials and consultations. I am also available for mobile appointments, so no big day venue is an issue for me, having travelled across the UK for various jobs. Face and Bodypaint Makeup
Although I am a fully qualified makeup artist, much of my passion lies within the world of creative/editorial makeup and bodypaint. Over the last year I have carried out many personal artistic projects on myself involving bodypainting, see more about this here. I have further developed my skillset since gaining my HMUA qualification, by partaking in two online courses with Irish company Dublin Bodypaint. From this training I have further expanded my product knowledge and technical ability, from linework skills to design placement and shading. Photoshoot Makeup and Hair
I have experience of working on several different photoshoots, both indoor and outdoor from a studio set-up to roaming city shoots. This includes shoot work for corporate business headshots and online advertising, as well as for tv commercials. My portfolio can be found here. I have worked with agency signed models and established fashion and beauty photographers from around the North West, as well as attending shoots with upcoming creatives. I am used to working to strict timings and I'm able to work to a brief or moodboard, as well as being able to design my own shoot ideas depending on the creative team. Theatre, TV and Event Makeup and Hair
I have previously worked with several UK based events/performance companies, including Black Birdcage Entertainment, Mandinga Arts (alongside the tequila brand, Patrón), and London based theatre company Immersive Ensemble. I love the creativity and pace that comes with work of this nature, using skills including but not limited to; bodypainting, hairstyling, headdress application, and quick changeovers. I have worked on TV and social media commercials with several production companies including the Komi Group, Manto Films and McGill Productions. Alongside this I have also worked with celebrity clients for different events, building up a good reputation and getting new clients via word of mouth recommendations, with my work featuring in online articles from papers like The Metro, DigitalSpy and The Sun.
